A year and a couple months later...
Haven't posted anything recently. Should really get on top of this.

Is this it?
So I guess this is it you guys. We have nothing more to say to each other, class is over, and our portfolios are only about 13 hours from being due. So apart from all that, are we all just going to leave our blogs alone and post nothing? I propose that we all at least post once a week from now on just to give an update to everyone else how they're doing (if Prof. Scott doesn't delete us all!). We'll see how well this goes, and I'm not saying I will post once a week, just everyone at least give it a shot.
See you guys!
P.s. Those bagels in class were really good, thanks Grete!

Last couple classes...
These last couple classes are shooting by very quickly. The end of the semester has come and now there is nothing to do but to finish our portfolios and return home. But before class is actually over I want to get a scope out on what everyone thought of this class. To me, it ran around all the stereotypes of an English class. We didn't read books, we didn't just write essays one after another in a monotone boring way: we created our portfolios with several assignments that together come and create a group of works that will flow well together. English class is forever changed because of this college freshman English class. Who thought we would be free to choose what to write on and how to write it. The limits were endless and we hardly had any rules to regulate us. That is why I loved this class.
Plan for Friday
So other than bringing copies of our actual portfolios, what are we doing in class tomorrow morning? I guess we are going to read our reviews and then peer review again? Whatever we do I just want to read as many portfolios as possible to see what other people have done. I like getting a scope to what the class is doing and what I am doing that compares.
Mark's portfolio
Reading Mark's work is not only fascinating but is interesting as well. His portfolio offers a sense of belonging into the Virginia Tech community. He talks about the soccer team, school spirit, and getting together as one. The way his words appeal to the audience reveal his mastery of pathos, and his logistical claims reveal his use of ethos.

Any particular blog
Is there any particular blog that I have posted up on the website that anybody especially likes? I would like to place it into my portfolio.

Its been a long while coming...
Over break I had time to think about the portfolio and what it concerns to us. The portfolio is a culmination of our entire semester's work. While putting the actual portfolio together it seems like it will be much harder than I anticipated. Putting together our essay and our project requires thinking and time. We will see how they turn out tomorrow.
On a different note, the presentations last class were very good. I especially liked listening to the stories of the disabled children, it was a touching story. Abel's website was also very well thought through and well designed.
